Courses All dance and baton students are required to wear proper attire and shoes to each lesson. Leotards, tights, skirts, and dance shoes will be available to purchase during open house at discounted prices! Hip Hop is a freestyle form of jazz with less emphasis on technique. This fun genre is usually performed to hip hop, rap, and pop with upbeat energy and attitude. (Music is screened for language and content.) Tap is the dance of sounds and rhythms. Classes include warmup, progressions across the floor, and routines to modern, swing, and Broadway music. Ballet is the basis for all forms of dance. This classes teaches the traditional ballet discipline of grace, poise, and strength. With the emphasis on ballet barre, technique, and classical routines. Pointe class is ballet performed on toe shoes. This class is for girls with strong ballet technique. Jazz is a fast paced dynamic dance performed to upbeat pop and jazz music. Acrobatics/Tumbling is designed to promote fun and fitness. This class will enhance strenghth, flexibility, coordination, and self-confidence. Combination class teaches the fundamentals of tap, ballet, and tumbling. The combination class is designed to maintain students' interest in dance while developing a wide range of dance skills. Baton and Pom Pom classes teach all the fundamentals and terminology of basic baton skills. Students will learn pom pom routines and work with various flags and ribbons. This class will also help train your child to become a majorette in the high school and college levels. Cheerleading class is designed to introduce, practice and master the competencies of cheerleading. Terminology will be discussed. Physical coordination, tumbling, and routines will be practiced on the way to becoming a great cheerleader. Go Team! Technique lessons emphasize correct techniques in tap, ballet, & jazz. Dancers need at least 2 years of dance experience to enroll in this class. Technique classes are for more serious dancers . Find a class that you like?
