Instructors

The Studio is staffed by three core teachers. They include Judy Link, Mindi Shay, and Michelle Combs. Our instructors pride themselves with a breadth of experience and training. They attend clinics and conventions each year, to get the latest and greatest techniques and tips for our dancers. Additional instruction is provided by Amy Grayson - Cheerleading and Tumbling and Mary Thompson - Pre-School and Toddlers.

Mindi Shay – Instructor

Mindi is the daughter of Judy Link and has enjoyed success as a performer and instructor for more than 20 years. She brings a wealth of expertise to our dance program through her various ventures.

Personal Experience

• Danced in the Annual Recital since she was three.

• Performed on the Bob Braun Television Show.

• National Dance Champion (dance and tumbling) for Symposium and Rising Star dance organizations.

• Member of the State Champion Oakette Dance team ( Oak Hills High School).

• Miss Ohio National Teenager winner, 2nd runner up in the National talent category.

• University of Cincinnati Varsity Cheerleader , 5th place at Nationals, and cheered in the Final 4!

• Received Local, State, and National Awards in tumbling, lyrical, character, jazz, tap, pom, and baton.

Professional Experience

• Currently teaches hip-hop, tumbling, and cheerleading classes for Judy Link’s School of Dance and Baton.

• Assistant Choreographer for Judy Link’s Competition Show Team.

• Instructor and director of St. John’s Baptist of Colerain PTA dance program.

• Bridgetown Youth Football Cheerleading Coach, 1st and 2nd Grade Competition Champions.

• Choreographer of High Score routines at National and State competitions.

• Created and implemented Cheerleading Program at Gamble-Nippert YMCA.

• Ballet instructor for the Gamble-Nippert YMCA Gymnastic Team.

• Recognized for outstanding dance choreography at a High School Cheerleading Competition (Colerain High School, Junior Varsity).

• Dance instructor and director at Springmeyer Elementary.

Michelle has been dancing competitively as a soloist and with groups at the Studio since 1984. She is hometown product of Seton High School and furthered her education at St Leo University in Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Theatre.

Michelle’s experience also includes teaching dance at the YMCA, Pleasant Run Elementary, Northwest Elementary and Fairmount Elementary.

This is Michelle’s sixteenth year teaching at Judy Link’s and she wears many hats. She is the lead stagehand, prop designer, party planner, as well as working with the preschool and elementary aged dancers. She has a real gift communicating with our young dancers.
